Popular Chinese company Xiaomi is still not discounting and, according to new statistics, is currently becoming the fastest-growing smartphone manufacturer among a narrow and prominent group of competitors.
This is proven by the results for the fourth quarter of last year, where Xiaomi performed exceptionally well.
The highest growth among manufacturers
When it comes to specific figures, Xiaomi sold 33 million smartphones just in the last three months of year 2019. In the same quarter of year 2018, this number was at the level of 26,8 million smartphones.
As for market share, Xiaomi recorded a year-on-year increase of up to an impressive 23%. Specifically, this is an increase from 7.3% to exactly 9%.
With these results, Xiaomi became the fastest-growing smartphone manufacturer over the last quarter of 2019! On the other hand, Huawei even lost 7%, which is caused by restrictions from Google.
During the third quarter, the US company Apple took first place with 78,4 million smartphones sold and 21,3% market share. However, this is a result of the launch of the new generation of iPhone smartphones, which took place in September / září 2019. This manufacturer is followed by South Korea’s Samsung and China’s Huawei. Oppo took fifth place.
Market share: It remains fourth in the ranking
When it comes to the full-year market share, the leader is Samsung with a share of 21.8%. Next is the Chinese company Huawei with 17.6%, followed by Apple with 14.5% and the fourth spot for Chinese Xiaomi with a value of 9.2%. Fifth place goes to Oppo with 8.8%.
