In this case, the connection to the Chinese market refers to the upcoming big celebrations of Chinese New Year. This holiday is very important for locals, which is why Xiaomi decided to unveil its next themed smartphone.
Xiaomi Mi 10 2021
Xiaomi Mi 10 2021, the name of the upcoming new device, largely hints at its specs. In short, you can expect last year’s Xiaomi Mi 10 smartphone with a refreshed processor and a very attractive price tag.
Specifically, it’s the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G processor, which offers more performance than its predecessor 865, but less than this year’s flagship 888. Either way, there will be plenty of power.
The price will surprise you
The second interesting upgrade over the base Xiaomi Mi 10 is the price. Mi 10 2021 will be available in all memory configurations: 8 + 128, 8 + 256, 12 + 256 GB. Meanwhile, the 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage variant will cost 3399 yuan, which comes to only €437 / $525 after conversion.
It’s a great price, but the joy from it will most likely be for residents of China only. According to currently available information, the Xiaomi Mi 10 2021 will be introduced for the domestic market only and will not debut globally.
One interesting detail is that the packaging features bulls. It’s because Chinese New Year, meaning 12. February 2021, coincides with the start of the Year of the Ox. People there attach great importance to these symbols, so Xiaomi decided to use this sign on the packaging of its upcoming smartphone.
