Thanks to smart fitness bracelets Mi Band, Xiaomi has become the world’s biggest wearable technology manufacturer. It doesn’t want to give up the title and soon will introduce the successor to the popular Mi Band 3. It will be this year!

Mi Band 4 already this year
Zatiaľ čo na Mi Band 3 sme čakali takmer dva roky, na Mi Band 4 tak dlho čakať nebudeme. Finančný riaditeľ spoločnosti Huami (ktorá stojí za výrobou Mi Bandov), David Cui, dostal otázku, či je vydanie Mi Bandu 4 naplánované na na marec / březen alebo apríl / duben 2019. Aj keď odpoveď na túto konkrétnu otázku je záporná, Cui potvrdzuje, že nástupca Mi Band 3 príde už tento rok.
„We will unveil the Mi Band 4 this year. It will be in 2019. But I’m not sure whether it will be in March or April. But it will be this year.”, said David Cui.
Even though we didn’t find out an approximate timeline for the presentation, David Cui confirmed that each generation of this popular fitness bracelet brought something new—and the same will be true with Mi Band 4. Xiaomi talks about progress in hardware, so we expect to see something interesting.
Xiaomi, together with its subsidiary Amazfit, is currently shaking up the wearable electronics market. Their sales in 2018 increased by as much as 78%. This figure was mainly driven by devices Amazfit BIP, Amazfit Stratos, but also the aforementioned Mi Band 3.

Companies expect that the new fitness tracker will only further support sales. According to Cui’s statements, Mi Band 3 is still selling very well, which means they may have the new-generation launch planned for the last quarter of this year.
