Chinese tech giant Xiaomi on the Chinese market unveiled its new wireless mouse Xiaomi Mi Smart Mouse. It’s unique thanks to voice control and long battery life of up to 30 days.
Design and voice assistant
The new release comes with a minimalist design in an elegant black color. It’s made from a combination of metal and durable ABS plastic.
The mouse includes an antibacterial coating that can repel up to 99.9 % of bacteria. You’ll find two main buttons and a scroll wheel on it, whose rated lifespan is up to 10 million rotations.
Xiaomi Mi Smart Mouse is also smart thanks to the aforementioned voice assistant support. Specifically, you can control it with the assistant XiaoAI directly from Xiaomi.
For this, you’ll use a highly sensitive microphone and a button dedicated specifically for this purpose. It’s located on the top part of the mouse. Using the Xiaomi Mi Smart Mouse thus represents a new user level and experience.
Battery, connection, and sensitivity
Xiaomi Mi Smart Mouse is powered by a battery with a capacity of up to 750 mAh. It can power the mouse for great 30 days of use or up to 180 days in standby mode.
A USB Type-C port is used for charging. A very small USB receiver takes care of connecting to your laptop, PC, or tablet, or you can use Bluetooth 5.0 technology.
The PC mouse contains a very sensitive and precise sensor with sensitivity up to 4000 DPI. The sensor can recognize multiple surfaces and even some transparent ones like crystals. This should ensure comfortable and trouble-free use even on a glass surface without the need for a pad.
The price is very low
The new intelligent computer mouse from Xiaomi is available for the price of 129 yuan, which is approximately 16 € / 18 USD. At the moment, this great mouse is available only in mainland China.
However, it’s very likely that we’ll see it also on the global market through international sellers. The question is, though, whether the voice assistant is supported, since the Chinese XiaoAI doesn’t work here.
