This year in August, a new Mijia smart microwave oven was added to Xiaomi’s portfolio, with a grill mode. Mobile app control is also available.
We already wrote about the Xiaomi microwave oven in the past. This time, however, it’s an upgraded model with higher power and larger dimensions.
Available from a well-known retailer
The official name, Xiaomi Mijia Smart Microwave Oven, is now available from the well-known retailer Banggood, which is the only one offering this product for Europe.

An extraordinary microwave oven
The device dimensions are 492 x 343 x 297 mm; the manufacturer states a weight of 12.7 kg. The capacity of the Xiaomi Mijia microwave oven is up to 23 liters. The design features the same minimalist lines as the previous generation.
On the front, you’ll find a digital display with a time indicator; below it there’s a button for adjusting the heating duration, and a button to open the door.
The manufacturer also thought about safety and equipped the microwave oven with up to 4 layers of protection. These layers effectively reduce the radiation generated when heating food and prevent microwave waves from escaping into the environment.
The Xiaomi Mijia smart microwave oven delivers power of 800 W, and in grill mode it reaches up to 1000 W. The manufacturer also adds an ultra-fast heating mode, which can heat all kinds of food in record time.
Other features include, for example, an advanced food defrosting mode or a heating and cooking mode.
Wi-Fi connection and control via your phone
Since this is an intelligent microwave oven that has built-in Wi‑Fi connectivity, you can conveniently control it using a mobile app. It also includes voice control via Xiaomi’s assistant – XiaoAI. However, only residents of China will be able to use it, because the assistant works only in Chinese.
The microwave oven offers a total of 15 different recipes for preparing meals, plus another 25 smart recipes that you’ll find in the mobile app.
