In the previous article, we already wrote about the arrival of the new power menu in the MIUI 12 skin. Now, we have more details and, at the same time, the option to try this feature out.
Overall, this is an update that has been released for devices running on the Chinese version of the MIUI firmware. The update brings several improvements across both functionality and design. It’s a small upgrade, but it will definitely make you happy.
MIUI 12 or MIUI 13?
If you read the above-mentioned article, you surely know that this novelty was originally supposed to be for the thirteenth generation of the skin. The latest news on the internet, however, reveals that these novelties are already available for devices with MIUI 12.
In the video above, you can see the new power menu for the smartphone. In short, it’s a sliding slider in the style of American iOS. This novelty is also tied to a new volume control menu that you can try right now.
New volume menu available to download
You can try out this new feature thanks to active MIUI fan community users, who prepared this APK. file for us to download. After downloading, simply install the app, but don’t forget to grant all the required permissions first.
We’ve already tried the new volume menu on our editorial Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, and it works great. A slightly modified design fits the skin concept better and gives it a more elegant look.
If you want to remove this novelty for any reason, it’s not a problem. The only thing you need to do is go to the smartphone settings, choose apps, manage apps, find “systemui-controls”, and then uninstall.
We view the update itself for Chinese devices positively, and we’re already looking forward to seeing it in the global version too. If you don’t want to miss anything, regularly check our website, like our Facebook page, and subscribe to our newsletter below the article.
