Our favorite Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is preparing a new generation of its flagship tablet. And we already know the first leaks of the technical specs of the upcoming flagship model with the name Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro.
Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro: These are the leaked technical specifications
Xiaomi is preparing its new tablet Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, which is expected to hit the market probably alongside the flagship model Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Some technical specs have appeared via Mi Code, and they look genuinely interesting.
One of the most popular tablet models was also its predecessor Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, which came with a 144 Hz IPS LCD display and a powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The seventh generation wants to build on this great setup as well.
The upcoming Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro has the code name “sheng” (a Chinese musical instrument; the manufacturer prefers code names based on similar musical instruments for tablets) and the model designation “N81A.”
10″ IPS LCD display, up to 144 Hz, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip
The device will feature a 10″ IPS LCD panel from Tianma. This LCD panel will offer high resolution of 2367 x 1480 pixels and also a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. However, it will be a smaller device compared to last year, since the Pad 6 Pro had an 11″ diagonal.

Performance will be handled by a newer flagship processor with eight cores, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. So you’re getting an upgrade both in the chip used and in the resulting performance. You may know this processor, for example, from Xiaomi’s flagship 13 series, whose performance was truly impressive.
The back will be home to a pair of cameras. The main one, an unspecified sensor, will be complemented by a depth sensor. However, their setup should be similar to the Pad 6 Pro tablet. The front will house a “selfie” camera placed in a frame around the display. The software will be handled by the new HyperOS, based on the operating system Android 14.
In addition, the tablet will offer up to 4 speakers, arranged in stereo, for a high-quality audio-visual experience—especially when watching multimedia content. The bad news is that it’s expected to launch only in the Chinese market. We don’t know yet whether there will be a global version. The official unveiling should happen around April 2024.
