Xiaomi has introduced its new flagship among robot vacuums, called the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Max. The new model pushes the boundaries of automatic cleaning in several ways.

Hot Xiaomi news in our FB group

In addition to the extremely high suction power of 35 000 Pa, it brings a brand-new mopping system with continuous roller rinsing, advanced artificial intelligence with three cameras, and even the ability to cross obstacles up to 6 cm high. Xiaomi is therefore targeting users who want the maximum of available technology in one device.

Xiaomi’s most powerful robot vacuum

The biggest draw of the new model is the suction power of up to 35 000 Pa, which is currently the highest value Xiaomi offers in its robot vacuums. Efficient vacuuming is also handled by a new main brush with automatic hair cutting, which minimizes tangling.

It’s complemented by dual side brushes with an anti-tangle design, so the vacuum can handle households where long-haired family members or pets live.

A major new feature is the completely redesigned mopping system. Xiaomi has fitted a rotary roller mop with continuous rinsing through 16 water inlet openings. The mop keeps cleaning itself during the process, so it doesn’t smear dirt back onto the floor. The manufacturer claims it can also handle dried coffee or ketchup stains.

Three mechanical arms clean every corner

The robot uses up to three retractable mechanical arms. The side brush extends deep into corners, the roller mop gets right up close to walls, and a separate corner mopping pad takes care of cleaning around the legs of tables, chairs, or furniture. Xiaomi says this system delivers the best floor coverage of any of the brand’s robot vacuums.

Also interesting are the bionic mechanical legs, which allow it to overcome obstacles up to 6 cm high. That makes it easier for the robot to get between rooms or onto a balcony without needing to be carried manually.

AI with three cameras recognizes more than 320 objects

Xiaomi puts a strong focus on artificial intelligence. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Max uses three cameras supplemented by LiDAR navigation and AI algorithms that can recognize more than 320 different objects and types of dirt. It can identify furniture, slippers, cables, pet bowls, or even very thin headphone cables.

At the same time, AI identifies the type of dirt. If it encounters spilled pellets or dust, it automatically increases suction power. For liquids, it chooses repeated mopping, and with mixed dirt it prefers to avoid it rather than smear it across the floor. This is one of the most advanced automatic decision-making systems Xiaomi has introduced so far.

Retractable LiDAR, HyperOS Connect, and video monitoring

Another new feature is the retractable LiDAR sensor. When the robot detects low furniture, it automatically lowers the height of the navigation module and can get under spaces as low as 9.3 cm. That lets it vacuum places most robot vacuums can’t reach.

There’s also support for Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, voice control via Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, as well as remote home monitoring using the built-in AI camera. Through the Xiaomi Home app, you can control the robot remotely, monitor your home, or check on your pets.

The Omni station can handle most maintenance tasks on its own

The package includes a new Omni station, which significantly reduces the need for manual maintenance. The mop automatically washes with water up to 85 °C and then dries with hot air at 50 °C. The station also automatically empties dust into a sealed bag, which lasts up to 75 days of normal use with Xiaomi.

Power comes from a 6400 mAh battery, providing enough performance even for cleaning large households. Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Max is therefore one of the most technologically advanced new releases in the robot vacuum cleaner segment and will be among the main competitors to the most expensive models on the market.

The price on the Chinese market translates to about 600 €, but on the global market we should expect a higher amount. Our estimate is 799 – 999 €.
