Our favourite Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is preparing its new fitness band for the global version too, under the name Xiaomi Smart Band 7. The seventh generation has even already passed an important European certification.
Xiaomi Smart Band 7: The global version has been certified
Xiaomi Mi Band 7 is Xiaomi’s latest fitness band. It’s currently sold only in the Chinese market, in both the standard version and the NFC version. But that could change soon thanks to certification that applies specifically to global product versions.
Even though the product’s global availability is just a matter of time, the seventh generation with the label Xiaomi Smart Band 7 is already probably around the corner. New leak information is coming from a well-known source nicknamed Mukul Sharma. According to this source, the global fitness band is part of IMDB certification, specifically under the code name M2130B1.
Standard version with new features, without NFC payments
Just like last year, Xiaomi Smart Band 7 should arrive in Europe first in its standard version. The latest Xiaomi Smart Band 6 NFC, with mobile payments via NFC, arrived only a few months later. With the exception of payments, however, the standard version is packed with new features too. Compare both generations at the following link.
In the seventh generation, Xiaomi focused on a bigger display with new dynamic watch faces, a larger battery capacity, and new training modes—along with coaching recommendations. The result is multiple features and settings that you can control directly on the fitness band’s screen. And you don’t have to turn on your smartphone unnecessarily and search for the settings in the app.
A few weeks ago, we noticed speculation that June is the month when we can expect the new fitness band on the global market. There’s talk of a 22. June date, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet.
