The new generation of the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 smartwatch band was released only recently, and people are already talking about its improved Pro version. We even know the exact date when the Chinese giant will unveil this device.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro device will be unveiled on July 4 at 1:00 PM our time. So it will be the same event where you’ll also see the presentation of the models from the Xiaomi 12S series, and there shouldn’t be missing a new laptop either. Let’s see what Xiaomi has prepared for us.
More than just a watch—wearables
Even the Xiaomi company has already revealed the design of this upcoming novelty along with a short video. You can see that it will look different from the basic Smart Band 7. It will feature a more watch-like design, meaning the device will be a bit wider.
From the images, it looks like the bezel around the display will be made of metal. However, it’s clear that the Pro model will look much more elegant than the simple smart band Xiaomi Smart Band 7.
Just like with the smart band, you won’t find any side buttons here either, so once again you’ll have to rely on gesture controls. On the front, there will be a larger AMOLED display, and Always-on support won’t be missing either—the same feature that’s also available on the base version.
What about GPS?
There’s a question mark over the implementation of a GPS module. The latest reports don’t mention it at all, but previous leaks suggested that GPS should be one of the biggest highlights of the Pro model. Still, we expect an increase in battery capacity first. More information will be revealed on July 4.
It’s not yet clear whether the Pro version will also reach the global market. The base Smart Band 7 should also come to the global lineup with an NFC version. More details will be available in the coming days.
