Xiaomi Smart Solar Camera 4 Pro 4G Dual-Camera Edition is the latest smart security camera from Xiaomi, designed for users looking for reliable monitoring of places without an electrical outlet or a Wi‑Fi connection. The new product combines a pair of 3K cameras, a large battery, solar power, and a mobile 4G connection, allowing it to work practically anywhere.

The camera was unveiled via the Xiaomi Youpin platform, where crowdfunding will kick off on 6. July. This is another step by Xiaomi toward smart security solutions that don’t require complicated wiring or internet availability at the installation location.
Xiaomi Smart Solar Camera 4 Pro 4G Dual-Camera Edition works completely without Wi‑Fi
The biggest advantage of the new camera is that it’s completely independent of the power grid and home internet. Unlike conventional IP cameras, it doesn’t need a power cable, Ethernet, or a Wi‑Fi router. Xiaomi equips it with support for two 4G SIM cards, and the device can automatically switch between operators based on the quality of the mobile signal.
This solution will be appreciated by owners of garages, gardens, farms, warehouses, construction sites, parking lots, and other locations where there’s no internet infrastructure available. Just mount the camera in the desired spot, insert the SIM card, and it can start monitoring the area right away.
9900 mAh battery and 7,6 W solar panel
Power comes from a built-in battery with a capacity of 9900 mAh, complemented by a solar panel rated at 7.6 W. Xiaomi states that the battery alone lasts for more than a week on a single charge, while during sunny days it is continuously recharged by the solar panel.
The manufacturer also shared estimated battery life figures. With about 40 AI events per day, the camera can last up to 12 days, even in cloudy weather. With roughly 100 events per day, runtime is around 10 days, and with very intensive monitoring at about 200 detections per day, it’s approximately 7 days. When there is enough sunlight, the solar panel continuously adds energy and significantly extends total operation time.
A pair of 5 MP cameras delivers 3K image quality and smart tracking
Xiaomi uses two separate 5 MP sensors, with each one capturing video in 3K resolution. The camera thus offers a combination of a wide field of view and detailed tracking without needing to install two separate devices.
The upper fixed camera covers a wide area and features manual adjustment in a range of 180° horizontally and 20° vertically. The lower rotating PTZ camera can move up to 355° horizontally and 95° vertically, so it can track moving people practically across the entire surroundings.
AI recognizes people and vehicles
Both cameras work together via intelligent AI algorithms. The fixed camera constantly monitors the scene and, after detecting motion, automatically sends information to the rotating camera, which then starts tracking the specific object.
Artificial intelligence can recognize both people and vehicles. Xiaomi claims reliable person detection at a distance of about 10 meters and vehicle detection at about 15 meters. This means the camera provides significantly smarter monitoring than conventional motion sensors based only on PIR detection.
Color night vision and lenses with an aperture of f/1.6
Each lens uses brightness of f/1.6, which lets you capture more light during the evening hours. Both sensors are equipped with a combination of infrared LED modules and white fill light.
After detecting a person, the white light turns on automatically, so the camera can record full-color footage even in total darkness. Color night vision has a range of about 10 meters, significantly improving identification of both people and vehicles.
AOV intelligent recording saves both battery and storage
The new model uses AOV (Always-On Video) technology, which intelligently adjusts the recording method based on the situation. If the camera doesn’t detect any motion, it records only one frame every two seconds.
Once it detects a person or a vehicle, it immediately switches to full frame rate, capturing the entire event. Xiaomi states that this way it can save more than 90% of storage space while still keeping complete recordings of important events.
IP66 rating ready for year-round operation
The body is certified as IP66, so it’s ready to be used in rain, snowfall, and windy conditions. Xiaomi also upgraded the rotating mechanism itself, equipping it with more robust bearings and better sealing.
The camera is designed for continuous outdoor operation, resisting dust and water without the need for an additional protective cover.
Sound alarm, two-way communication, and HyperConnect
When intrusion is detected, the camera can automatically activate a siren and flashing warning lights. Two-way voice communication is also supported, so users can communicate directly with visitors through the app or deter unwanted intruders.
The new model is part of the Xiaomi HyperConnect ecosystem. Through the Xiaomi Home app, it can work with other Xiaomi smart devices and create automated smart-home scenarios.
