Xiaomi Sound Pro: The smart speaker supports SBC and AAC codecs, plus an app
The new Xiaomi Sound Pro will feature a transparent top section with ambient lighting that changes with the rhythm of the music. The speaker comes in a black color finish, and the manufacturer itself claims it delivers flagship-level audio listening quality. The sound tuning also involved the well-known premium audio brand Harman Kardon.
In terms of supported codecs, you get SBC as well as AAC. The impedance of this smart speaker is 8 ohms, and its design also includes a 3.5 mm audio connector.
The acoustic setup consists of 7 drivers. It includes three 5 W full-range speakers and three passive radiators. In addition, there’s a custom-made 40 W subwoofer for low frequencies, plus a large bass driver. So the total music power of this speaker is 15 W from the drivers + 40 W from the subwoofer.
Up to 91 decibels and LED backlighting in sync with the music
When it comes to the strength of the audio experience, the manufacturer states a sound pressure level of up to 91 dB. Besides impressive sound quality, there’s also 360-level surround sound spreading into the surroundings. Xiaomi used acoustic engineers and professional software to tune the final sound.

The Nightingale algorithm has also been improved for independent control of sound effects. This lets users customize their preferred music style via the Xiaomi Speaker mobile app.
The speaker also stands out with its design. LED backlighting adds an interesting effect when you’re listening and highlights the rounded shapes of the device itself. There’s also intelligent human-body sensing that combines visual and computational technology. The speaker uses it for sound direction and advanced, smart lighting effects.
