Our favorite Chinese manufacturer keeps surprising us. Xiaomi, this time under the helm of its own subsidiary brand REDMI, is preparing a powerful flagship smartphone unlike anything before. It will get a new Snapdragon and an above-standard battery.
As soon as they unveil it, it’ll be in our FB group
A massive battery capacity—up to 7500 mAh
Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a revolutionary smartphone from the REDMI series, which will be the first device in the world equipped with the new processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Elite. This model will stand out not only with its powerful chipset, but also with the biggest battery Xiaomi has used so far— with a capacity exceeding 7500 mAh.
The new model will be unveiled shortly after the official release of Snapdragon 8s Elite, scheduled for 2. April at the event “Snapdragon Flagship New Product Media Salon”.
According to the well-known tech insider Digital Chat Station, the new REDMI smartphone will feature an ultra-thin frame, a flat display, and a premium finish for a better feel when holding the device.
Snapdragon 8s Elite: Here are the technical specs
Snapdragon 8s Elite, also known as “Little Supreme”, will use a 4 nm manufacturing process from TSMC and should deliver the following core configuration:
-
1 x 3,21 GHz Cortex-X4
-
3 x 3,01 GHz Cortex-A720
-
2 x 2,80 GHz Cortex-A720
-
2 x 2,02 GHz Cortex-A720
Graphics performance will be handled by Adreno 825, while the expected AnTuTu benchmark score exceeds 2 million points. This performance places the new REDMI smartphone on par with devices featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip—while keeping a lower sales price, typical for REDMI-brand smartphones.
Why will this model be a breakthrough?
The biggest innovation is a massive battery that could enable several days of use on a single charge. With growing demands for performance and energy consumption, this solution is a major step forward.
While the details about pricing and availability are not known yet, Xiaomi is traditionally one of the first manufacturers to bring new chipsets to the market. That’s why the new model is expected to be unveiled soon after Qualcomm’s official announcement.
