The Xiaomi ecosystem includes a truly wide range of products. And for several years now, smartwatches have been an integral part of it. The new Xiaomi Watch S4, which appeared in the IMEI database, should push the user experience even further.
It’s expected that these smartwatches will be unveiled alongside the new flagship smartphone series, Xiaomi 15. We can also look to last year’s event, when the predecessor in the form of Watch S3 launched on the market in the fourth quarter of the year 2023, together with the Xiaomi 14 series.
Support for e-SIM and the HyperOS operating system 2.0?
IMEI database also revealed the first secrets about the Watch S4. The model designation is M2424W1, while the previous model was labeled M2311W1. And even though we don’t know detailed information, one of the expected features is support for e-SIM, which will ensure better smartwatch autonomy.
On the software side, the watches should include the new HyperOS in version 2.0. The goal of this new HyperOS version is to provide users with a smoother, more advanced, and more user-friendly interface. Regular annual updates won’t be missing either—they should bring new features and optimize how the system itself runs.
The press conference where these new devices should be revealed—whether Xiaomi Watch S4, or multiple devices from the Xiaomi 15 series—should take place already during October. Of course, this is an estimated date for the Chinese event, with Chinese versions of these devices. We expect the arrival on the global market a few weeks to up to a month later.
