Our detailed review:
Incredible power up to 210 W
Power banks have become an indispensable part of our daily lives—not just when traveling or going on trips, but also at home or at work. However, many of them don’t provide very fast charging, unlike the new release from the Xiaomi lineup.
The ZMI PowerPack No. 20, in fact, offers charging power up to 210 W. However, this—just like in many other cases—is stated together for all ports when using them at the same time. The power bank has 3 output ports, 2 of which are USB-C and one standard USB-A.
The first USB-C port provides a maximum charging output of 100 W, the second USB-C port 45 W, and the third USB-A port 100 W when using the original USB-A to USB-C adapter. If you want to use all ports at the same time, the first USB-C port will deliver up to 100 W, the second USB-C port 45 W, and the USB-A port 65 W, totaling 210 W.
High capacity and fast top-ups
ZMI PowerPack No. 20 has a capacity of 25,000 mAh, which should be enough for 5 charges of iPhone 12, 1.9 charges of iPad Pro 11″ (A1980), or 1.3× a MacBook Pro 13″ (A1708). You can find the complete list of officially supported devices on the official page. However, charging Xiaomi laptops that support charging via USB Type-C should work too.
A small display next to the button on the side informs you about the remaining capacity.
Inside, there are 5 cells of the 21700 type, which offer better capacity and performance than standard 18650 cells. Safety was also taken into account, so the power bank includes various protection mechanisms such as temperature, over-current, over-voltage, and short-circuit protection.
With a ZMI power bank, you can quickly charge multiple devices at the same time, but if you need to recharge the power bank itself, you can also expect fast charging with output of 65 W via the USB-C input in about 2 hours. To charge the power bank with this output, you’ll need the appropriate charging adapter—such as this 65W GaN from Xiaomi.
