Designers have proposed the look of Xiaomi’s first electric SUV. This is how fabulously it could look

After the first Xiaomi SU7 electric car, we can look forward to another model. Designers have proposed the look of an electric SUV, which could add to the range of Chinese models.

This is what the electric SUV looks like in renders

Not long ago, the first spy shots of Xiaomi’s electric SUV appeared online, sparking a wave of speculation. And now, two major Chinese design studios, Sugar Design and Ramen Master Design, have drawn several speculative renders at once.

The expected vehicle, in terms of exterior design, really does have a distinctive front fascia in the style of the SU7 model, but you’ll also find curves typical of luxury SUVs like the Lamborghini Urus or the Ferrari Purosangue.

Xiaomi SU7 in an SUV format is of course higher, with sharp, angular headlights and a minimalist, uniquely shaped grille that hints at this vehicle’s electric powertrain. The absence of a conventional grille is a futuristic, yet typical and modern feature of this type of vehicle.

The side profile continues the mix of power and elegance, with contours that smoothly transition from prominent wheel arches to a wider line in the roof section. This line, aggressive yet also dynamic, suggests high electric performance combined with the practical side of an SUV.

The Xiaomi manufacturer doesn’t want to reveal details

Even though Xiaomi is fairly tight-lipped about any technical specifications regarding the drivetrain or performance, the published renders are very interesting alternatives at the level of premium brands.

It’s expected that Xiaomi’s SUV will offer at least dual electric motors, with all-wheel drive. A modern interior shouldn’t be missing either, with a cabin that connects technology and luxury through large infotainment displays.

The manufacturer should also integrate advanced driver-assistance systems into its SUV. Improved driver and passenger seats, as well as seating space for the rear seats, will take care of passenger comfort.

We don’t know the remaining details yet, but it’s clear that Xiaomi is already testing its prototype on the streets of China. However, in the editorial team we’re very much looking forward to further information about the presentation date or the sale price.
