Top-tier sound thanks to a trio of drivers
The main highlight of the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro is their unique sound system, using three different drivers—11 mm dynamic driver, a planar driver, and a piezoelectric driver. This combination ensures rich, well-balanced sound across all frequency ranges.
High frequencies are crystal-clear, the mids are detailed, and the bass is deep—yet still precise. That makes them a great choice for music lovers who want to hear their favorite tracks in the highest quality.
Wireless freedom: Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi
Unlike most wireless earbuds, Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro offer not only standard Bluetooth connectivity, but also the ability to play music over Wi‑Fi. They support the modern LC3 codec with low latency and energy-efficient power usage, as well as Qualcomm aptX Lossless, enabling lossless playback in 24-bit/48 kHz with a transmission rate of up to 2.1 Mbps.
A premium Wi‑Fi model can handle up to 24-bit/96 kHz at a data rate of 4.1 Mbps, beating most of the typical earbuds on the market.
Active noise cancellation and long battery life
Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro come with a powerful ANC system, which can reduce ambient sounds by up to 55 dB, something you’ll appreciate in noisy environments. During calls, the earbuds actively suppress background noise by up to 100 dB, ensuring clear and understandable communication.
Battery life is another strong point—the Bluetooth version supports up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge, and with the charging case, the total battery life extends to 40 hours. Charging is available via USB‑C or wirelessly.
Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro are currently available only in China, where they’re sold in two versions—an Bluetooth model for 1299 yuan, i.e., approximately 170 €, and a Wi‑Fi model for 1499 yuan, which is roughly 200 €.
There are no official details yet about global availability. However, it’s expected that Xiaomi will introduce them at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2025.
