The new fitness band Xiaomi Mi Band 5 has already been officially unveiled not only in its original Chinese version, but also in a global version made for Europe.
A video of the band being taken apart has also appeared online, revealing not only the construction, but also the internal components of the new fitness band.
Xiaomi Mi Band 5: “Teardown” video
The whole hype cycle around the new band started especially after a local European unveiling that took place in Spain. The global version of this popular fitness band is called Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5, and alongside new images and equipment analysis, you also get the first video revealing the device’s internal components.
A YouTuber video from Geardo takes a look into the device’s insides. Right from the start, you can see that dismantling the construction isn’t exactly an easy job.
The band includes a fairly thick layer of material that provides protection against dust and water ingress. As is already known, the new model comes with an 5ATM certification.
These are the internal components of the fitness band
Once you open the band, you can see most of the band’s main board. In this case, it contains a small memory and various chips that provide the band with the necessary functions, while still keeping the standard minimalist design.
Under the board, once it’s removed, there’s a battery with a total capacity of 125 mAh. It provides the official battery life on a single charge up to 14 days. Below that, you’ll find a new heart-rate monitoring sensor. As the manufacturer announced, this sensor features improvements of up to 50 % over the previous generation.
There’s no doubt this is an interesting video that every fan of new technology will appreciate. Exactly this kind of video helps us learn more about the internal components of the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 and its construction.
