The new watches in the global version, labeled Xiaomi Mi Watch, offer a very low weight of just 32 grams. Their setup includes a round 1.39″ AMOLED display capable of reaching brightness up to 450 nits, which matches many smartphones.

The manufacturer offers 6 official silicone bracelets, and you can customize them with access to more than a hundred available watch faces. There’s also an option to create your own watch faces with photos.

The watches use a closed system, so you won’t get the Chinese MIUI version intended for watches. That means you can’t install additional third-party apps on these watches. The positive news, however, is the built-in voice assistant that can help you, for example, with the weather forecast.

Notifications have also been improved, so you can read a full message, including smileys. Emoji support is new in this generation, and built-in blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring is also a step forward. This feature will be especially appreciated by athletes, along with a refined sleep monitoring system.

The Xiaomi Mi Watch also include integrated GPS technology and a compass, making them suitable for tracking sports activities outdoors even without a smartphone. When it comes to sports activity monitoring, it’s truly comprehensive and supports up to an incredible 117 activities, including cycling, swimming, running, and more.

Using them outdoors offers increased resistance to dust and water with an 5 ATM certification. Another advantage is sufficient battery capacity, which, according to the manufacturer’s data, should offer up to 16 days on a single charge.
