Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier is something every fan of this Chinese brand probably knows. It’s a very popular air purifier available in multiple versions. But this time, the Chinese giant is bringing you another new air purifier called Xiaomi Mijia X. It has a very elegant design and filters the air efficiently.
Nice design and various improvements
The Xiaomi Mijia X air purifier was introduced together with several upgrades. It comes with sensors that can detect different types of particles that pollute the air.
It’s especially suitable for city apartments, where air quality keeps getting worse. Many factories and motor vehicles contribute to that, but it can also be used in the countryside—where allergy sufferers will especially appreciate it.
An air purifier is a great helper for removing allergens from the air. Whether you’re allergic to dust, mites, or various molds, you’ll definitely be able to breathe better with an air purifier.
Its design resembles a desktop PC case. Its dimensions are 480 x 180 x 470 mm and it weighs 8.5 kg. It’s ideal for rooms ranging from 28 to 48 square meters. So it’s also a good fit for family houses with larger rooms.
Xiaomi Mijia X can purify 400 cubic meters of air per hour. It removes 95.1 % of TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compounds) substances and 98.09 % of formaldehyde from the air.
5 filters for perfect air purification
Xiaomi Mijia X has five filters that capture unwanted particles in the air. The first one is a washable mesh that traps the largest dust particles and hair. The second is a filter that captures bacteria.
It captures up to 99.99% of bacteria, including H1N1 or E.coli. There’s also a antimicrobial coating that captures bacteria, a HEPA filter, and a carbon layer.
The purifier produces maximum noise at up to 64 dB. In ECO mode, it’s only 30.7 dB, so you can easily sleep with the purifier running.
You’ll also get support for voice control, so besides your smartphone, you can control it with voice commands too.
The color information display shows all the necessary information about filter status and air quality. It’s the highest-quality display we’ve seen so far on Xiaomi air purifiers.
Price and availability
Xiaomi Mijia X will be sold in China for 1 999 yuan, which comes out to around 253 € / 300 USD. For now, it will be available only in China, but it will definitely appear soon in listings from international retailers.
