Besides the series of smartphones Redmi K40, the new-generation line of laptops RedmiBook Pro, and other updates, we also got an official launch of the Redmi MAX TV.
Our Xiaomi Planet community group on Facebook
It’s a 4K TV with a massive screen size that would definitely fit right into your living room. Note that this is a premium product, so it won’t be as kind to your wallet as most of the other devices presented today.
Massive screen size, 4K resolution, and a refresh rate up to 120 Hz
Redmi MAX is a TV whose display has up to a 86-inch diagonal. The resolution of this panel is 4K, which basically means it’s already possible to treat it as today’s standard.
It also supports a wide range of displayed colors DCI-P3. You won’t believe it, but we even got a high refresh rate for Smart TV.
This new model can boast up to a 120 Hz panel, which is truly a rarity for TVs not only in this price category. Inside, there’s a quad-core processor with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB of built-in storage.
Connectivity won’t disappoint you either. You get dual-band WiFi, along with low-energy Bluetooth in version 5.0. From the port selection, we can mention three HDMI ports, 1x AV, 1x ATV/DTMV, 1x S/PDIF, 2x USB, and 1x Ethernet (RJ-45).
Smart TV features are a given too
Redmi MAX comes with support for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, which will definitely make everyone happy who already has some good experience with these brands.
Since it’s a smart TV, you can also count on built-in smart functions. In the app list, you can find not only a video player or a store for more apps, but for example also a calendar, a gaming center, a weather forecast, or the Mijia app, thanks to which you can connect with other smart devices in your home.
Redmi MAX is the more expensive piece from this manufacturer, but it’s worth it
As we noted at the beginning, Redmi MAX is priced rather high considering the fact that Xiaomi is known for low prices and great specs.
Well, to be honest, it’s the same with this TV too. Given the specs and the great features that Redmi MAX offers, it’s just hard to find a competitor for roughly 1000 € with similar equipment.
With a price of 7999 yuan, which after conversion comes to an amount easily exceeding the mentioned limit of 1000 € / 1240 USD. So it definitely belongs to the higher-end category.
