Uncovered detailed specifications of the global POCO F4 GT: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 120 W charging and gaming buttons

In mid-February, Redmi surprised and unveiled a gaming smartphone K50 Gaming Edition. This smartphone will likely also be leveraged by POCO, and the gaming cannon will bring it to the global market under the name POCO X4 GT.

Redmi K50 Gaming Edition with POCO logo

Complete specifications have leaked for this model, which should be nothing else but a rebranded smartphone Redmi K50 Gaming Edition with a slightly tweaked design.

The informant Yogesh Brar shared the detailed specifications of the upcoming POCO smartphone. The model will come with a 6.7-inch flat AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Inside, POCO will install the best that the current mobile market has to offer. It will be powered by a processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The global version will come with 8 and 12 GB RAM, along with 128/256-gigabyte UFS 3.1 storage.

On the back, we’ll find a trio of sensors, with the main one Sony IMX686 offering a resolution of 64 MPx. The trio will be completed by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a weak 2-megapixel macro sensor. The selfie camera with the Sony IMX596 sensor will have 20 MPx.

Gaming buttons and 120-watt charging

Just like the Redmi K50 Gaming, POCO F4 GT will also feature special magnetic gaming buttons for a better experience, and they will be slide-in as well. It’s not known whether the global variant will already have Android 12, but it will definitely come with the MIUI 13 software overlay.

The battery gets enough capacity of 4 700 mAh, which you can charge really fast with a max output of up to 120 W. For the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition model, charging to 100 % takes only 17 minutes.

POCO or Xiaomi have not confirmed any details yet regarding the release of this F4 GT model. However, it’s expected that we could see it within the next few weeks. Pricing will depend on the Redmi model, but it will be increased by customs duty, VAT, and shipping costs.
