The company Xiaomi is also rolling out its new products in the electric scooter accessories category—just like the manufacturer produces them itself. In these new releases, you can also find protective gloves or a travel bag for carrying small essentials.
Original accessories from the Xiaomi brand
After expanding its lineup with additional electric scooter models, official accessories are now next. The company has just launched several new products on its global website, which you can take with you on your rides.
Specifically, it’s gloves and a portable storage bag as carry-on gear. Both items have been requested by scooter users for a long time, but until today they had to rely on third-party products. However, the wait is over—and we’ll take a closer look at these products.
As the name suggests, these are riding gloves for controlling any scooter or e-scooter. Right away, they stand out with high-quality materials and a strong attention to detail from the manufacturer. They’re made of 84% nylon and 16% elastane fiber.
These materials help insulate against the cold and are made to withstand rain and snow too. That means you can use them in winter or on cooler trips to the mountains.
There’s also non-slip silicone on the palm and fingers to improve grip. They also include a touch-capable layer for operating your phone—not only on the index finger, but also on the thumb. The closure uses a nylon zipper solution and a rubber strap on the wrist.
Xiaomi Electric Scooter Storage Bag
The second accessory is a storage box, or a compact storage space for your scooter. Xiaomi lists it as a small bag that can be placed in the lower part of the handlebars of an electric scooter. In the end, this accessory goes directly under the LED light (editor’s note: depending on Xiaomi scooter models).
It’s not a case for bulky luggage, but it’s enough for a mobile phone or the scooter charger—or, for example, sunglasses for sunny days and other small items. It also has water resistance and a wide opening for easy, quick insertions. Inside, there’s also a separate compartment—for example for keys or documents. The price or availability of both products in Europe is not known yet.
