Xiaomi launched a crowdfunding campaign in China for a small outdoor light last year, and collected 46 times the goal in just one week. It was supported by 10 389 people, who together sent over 921 000 yuan (approximately 124 000 €). Xiaomi Mijia Outdoor Multi-Function Light meanwhile made it to regular sales on the Chinese mi.com, and now you can order it via AliExpress to Slovakia as well.
Although the body is only 57 mm long, it shines with a brightness of 600 lumens up to 110 meters, and with the four mounts from the box you can use it as a headlamp, a bike light, a cap light, or a tent lamp.
Four lights in one, shipped from China with customs duty included in the price
A smaller AliExpress seller will deliver it to you in Slovakia. You pay customs duty and VAT already in the cart, so you pay nothing when receiving the package, and it should arrive in about two weeks. The seller currently allows you to buy only one unit per customer.

TIPShipping via Aliexpress Standard Shipping
For this product, Aliexpress Standard Shipping or AliExpress Saver Shipping is available. This is the most reliable way to ship from Chinese warehouses. Delivery may take 15 days to 1 months.
When ordering from the Chinese warehouse, AliExpress will add the customs duty in your cart—approximately 3,70 € per order. When you receive the package, you won’t pay anything extra.
600 lumens and a beam that reaches 110 meters
The light has two light sources that you can use separately or together. Spot beam with a temperature of 6 500 K shines far straight ahead and is suitable for a night drive through the forest or on a bike. Diffused light with a temperature of 4 000 K, on the other hand, illuminates a wider area around your feet and won’t blind you. The third mode combines both sources, and in each mode you can choose from three brightness levels.
The manufacturer measured the full 600 lumens in combined mode at the highest setting. In a footnote, Xiaomi admits that the diode gets warm after longer use and then the light automatically reduces brightness so it doesn’t overheat. So at full power it will shine to the distance for only a short time—don’t count on a full night tour with it.
Headlamp, bike light, and a clip for your cap
The light unit snaps into the mounts using a quick-release clamp, so when switching from the headlamp to the bike light you don’t need any tools. In the box you’ll find a head strap with a reflective strip that won’t slip when walking, plus a handlebar mount for different bar diameters and a cap clip. It holds best on a hat with a firm brim, and you can angle the light on it by up to 90°.
On the bike, it works as an auxiliary light for your ride home in the dark. Xiaomi itself recommends a full-fledged bike light with a shaped beam to passionate cyclists, which doesn’t blind oncoming traffic. For the tent, just insert it into the included pouch and hang it up—then it shines softly and diffusely like a lamp.
Battery life from 3 to 33 hours and a red warning light
How long the light lasts depends on the mode and brightness. With diffused light, according to the manufacturer it’s 4.5 hours at the highest setting and up to 33 hours at the lowest—enough for several nights when used as a tent lamp. The spot beam handles from 4.5 to 15.5 hours, and the combined mode from 3 to 10 hours.
It charges via USB-C in about two hours, and you can use a power bank as well. Four LEDs on the top indicate the battery status. In addition to white light, it also has a red warning light so you can be seen on the road or on your bike, and an SOS mode where the white diode flashes to send an emergency signal.
Durable body with IP66 protection against rain and dust
The light measures 57 × 32 × 23.4 mm, weighs about 86 grams, and you barely notice it in your backpack. The casing has double coating and IP66 protection, so it can handle heavy rain and dust—just don’t submerge it in water.
In the box, besides the light, you’ll find a universal mount, a head strap, a cap clip, a bike mount, a fabric pouch, and a manual. The charging cable for Xiaomi isn’t listed in the package contents, so count on using your own USB-C cable.
