At the end of February / early February this year, the first promotional poster appeared confirming the arrival of the top smartphone from the Redmi brand—Redmi K30 Pro. Now it’s already March 10. / března, and no specific date has been announced yet.
We still don’t know the exact date
However, some statuses on social media suggest that the unveiling of this year’s Redmi flagship is just around the corner. This is how Xiaomi product manager Wang Teng Thomas also teased on social media Weibo today. In his post, he hinted that the Redmi K30 Pro will be unveiled this month.
22. February / February, Redmi brand CEO Lu Weibing announced the release of the Redmi K30 Pro. It will be timed between the launch of Huawei P40 and Honor 30 smartphones. The Huawei P40 model will hit the market on 26. March / March, while Honor 30 should be released by the end of April / April.
Most likely, the K30 Pro will be unveiled in March / března, just as the already published promotional poster suggests. It’s only a matter of days before we learn the exact date.
Expected specs of the Redmi K30 Pro
The new model is expected to be the legitimate successor to the Redmi K20 Pro and therefore will bring a rich feature set, high performance for a relatively low price. According to the render from the promotional poster, the new model will come with a punch-free display with no cutout or perforation for the front camera. The front camera will apparently be hidden in a pop-up module, similar to the previous “K” series.
A 6,67-inch OLED display with FullHD+ resolution and an in-display fingerprint sensor is expected. In addition, the package should include a Snapdragon 865 processor along with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. The primary rear camera sensor should be a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686. A battery with a large capacity and fast-charging support of 33 W shouldn’t be missing either.
Besides the K30 Pro model, a K30 Pro Zoom Edition variant is also expected—we informed you about it not long ago in the this article.
