The arrival of the global versions of the Redmi Note 11 series has been confirmed for real. Redmi published a poster with a specific launch date. It’ll be in just a few days.
The launch is in just a few days
Redmi shared a poster on Twitter. It shows side silhouettes of the smartphones, along with information that the global versions of the Redmi Note 11 series will be launched on 26 January.
The sale starts at 20:00 local time, but for us it will be one hour in the afternoon. As for the announced models, we expect Redmi Note 11 4G, Redmi Note 11S, Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+.
These will be the first smartphones that Redmi will release for the model year 2022. You’ll be able to watch the entire presentation, too, on YouTube on Xiaomi’s official account.
The Redmi Note 11 4G and Redmi Note 11S models will belong to the lower mid-range, while the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ will be in the higher segment. They will get processors from Qualcomm and AMOLED displays as well.
More expensive than expected?
Pricing is also a big unknown. Current reports suggest that the Redmi Note 11 series will be a bit more expensive than expected. The base Redmi Note 11 4G should cost somewhere between €200 and €250, which is still a very tempting price.
Design-wise, the smartphones should look like what we’ve already seen in the Chinese versions. It’s not out of the question that there will be some smaller design tweaks. We’ll find out everything on 26 January.
