Beautiful AMOLED with brightness of up to 2000 nits
The Amazfit Active 2 is built around a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with vivid colors and high resolution. It should be very easy to read even in direct sunlight, thanks also to the maximum brightness of up to 2000 nits. It looks very stylish, especially thanks to the slim bezels and the nice materials used, which are also very durable.
The new model is equipped with a wide range of fitness functions and technologies for tracking your health. The basic features include heart rate monitoring thanks to the completely new and more accurate BioTracker 6.0 optical PPG sensor, SpO2 (blood oxygen saturation), and sleep analysis.
Tracking is supported for more than 160 sports activities. Whether you're a runner, cyclist, swimmer, or prefer other sports such as ball sports, it's more than likely you'll find yours here too.
A huge advantage of these watches is also support for external sensors, such as a chest strap, running and cycling power sensor, or a cadence sensor for cycling. This will be especially appreciated by more active athletes who require much more accurate data.
Pairing can be done through the watch settings and works via Bluetooth, not ANT+ technology. The watch can also broadcast heart rate data to nearby supported devices.
As part of the software features, there is also strength training, when the watch can automatically recognize up to 25 different types of exercises such as push-ups, squats, and others, and it automatically counts reps, sets, and rest time.
The watches can, among other things, measure HRV, meaning heart rate variability, evaluate your readiness for training, and they also display PAI score.
AI assistant, offline maps, and NFC!
One of the biggest attractions of the Amazfit Active 2 is their ability to respond to voice commands. The integrated voice assistant is similar to Amazon Alexa, called AI Zepp Flow.
This virtual companion can manage calendar events for you, change watch settings (for example, adjust screen brightness), or respond to messages received in chat apps like WhatsApp. There’s also an app with offline maps that guides you to your desired locations.
With 10-day battery life, a 270 mAh battery on a single charge during typical everyday use, the Amazfit Active 2 ranks among the top in its category.
Great video review:
Prices are unbelievably low.
Starting from February 18, you can already buy the Amazfit Active 2 in Europe for the crazy-low price of 99 €.
An available option is the Amazfit Active 2 NFC Black Leather – Premium Version, featuring a beautiful leather strap and a sapphire crystal lens, which is significantly more resistant to scratches. This version is available in Europe for 129,99 €.
As the name suggests, this version also supports NFC payments via the manufacturer’s own payment service – Zepp Pay. This is already known from previous models like Amazfit Balance and Amazfit T-Rex 3.
