At the beginning of September, we showed you the Xiaomi night light with a radar that spots you in a dark hallway from three meters away. Thousands of you read the article, but in Europe you couldn’t buy the lamp. So we arranged it ourselves. Mijia Night Light 4 — you can now buy it from the Czech warehouse Gshopper, and with our coupon it will cost less than from China.
How did Xiaomi’s radar lamp get to Czechia?
In early October, Gshopper opened a new warehouse in Czechia. The first thing to arrive there was the POCO F9 Ultra smartphone, and since then the offer has been growing. We’re also involved in building the lineup. From our own data, we see which products our readers actually buy, and based on that we suggest what Gshopper should stock. Every product that’s going to arrive at the Czech warehouse is approved by us as well.
We designed the newest generation of the Mijia Night Light 4 lamp, and together with Gshopper we arranged for it to be stocked in Czechia. In the product description, they even publicly thanked us for it—for the recommendation and for the research.
So far, no other store in Europe has it in stock. The lamp, however, won’t be the last one. More great products are already on the way to the Czech Republic, and we’ll let you know about them. If you also have an idea for an interesting product that Gshopper could make available in the CZ warehouse, you can send us tips in the comments.

On AliExpress it’s even more expensive
On AliExpress, you can buy the desk lamp, but only from the Chinese warehouse. After the introduction of new customs duties there, the cheapest offer totals €34.43 by October 26, and you’ll wait for the package for about 10 days. From China, you’ll pay 72% more. From the Czech Republic, you can get it with a coupon for more than €14 less, with no customs duty and faster delivery. If you want to compare it yourself, find the AliExpress offer here.
One note. The Mijia Night Light 4 is sold only in the Chinese version, there is no global version, and Gshopper also offers the Chinese one. It doesn’t change anything about how it works. The lamp doesn’t connect to any app; it’s controlled by the switch and the button on the back. In Chinese, only the box and the manual are provided.
24 GHz radar spots you even with slight movement
Standard night lights have an infrared sensor that responds mainly to more noticeable movement. Mijia Night Light 4 has instead a 24 GHz radar with a 120-degree field of view. It detects motion up to 3 meters in front of it and 2.5 meters to the sides.
The radar is linked to a light sensor, so the lamp turns on only in the dark. When you leave the room, it turns off after about 10 seconds. However, the radar can detect movement other than yours too. A curtain in the wind, a fan, or a cat can turn it on—so Xiaomi recommends keeping nothing like that within its detection area.
It shines onto the wall, not into your eyes
The light comes from the back and reflects off the wall. At night, it won’t blind you—even if you look straight at the bedside lamp. You can choose four brightness levels: 1, 3, 5 and 15 lumens. The warm light at 2800 K won’t flicker and meets the RG0 standard for blue-light safety.
One lumen is enough for your trip from bed to the toilet without waking anyone nearby. Fifteen lumens is perfect for a closet, pantry, or the stairs. Use the switch on the back to choose between three modes: off, constant lighting, and an automatic radar mode.
Eight months on a single charge via USB-C
Inside there’s a battery with a capacity of 800 mAh. In automatic mode, at the lowest brightness, it can last up to eight months (according to Xiaomi); at the highest brightness, about three months. If you leave the lamp on continuously, it lasts 110 hours at 1 lumen and 12 hours at full brightness.
It charges via USB-C, so you don’t swap batteries. There’s no cable or adapter in the box—use the one from your phone. In the package you’ll find the lamp, a magnetic base, and a hook.
Sticks with a magnet—no drilling
The pad sticks to the wall or a cabinet using double-sided tape, and the lamp holds to it magnetically. That way, you can remove it anytime and charge it. The second option is a hook you can hang it on—e.g., in the bathroom or a wardrobe.
Pick the spot in advance. The adhesive pad can be used only once, and there’s just one in the box. Without the pad, the lamp will only hold on sufficiently magnetic metal. That’s why it may not stay on a stainless-steel refrigerator. The body has a diameter of 93.4 mm and a thickness of just under 4 cm, so it won’t stick out much on the wall.
