Just a few hours ago, the company Huami itself published an official promotional poster for the upcoming smartwatches Amazfit GTR 2 and Amazfit GTS 2 on its profile. It reveals not only the watch design itself, but also the official unveiling date.
The release of the watches along with their complete specs and features should take place on September 22. These are affordable smartwatches that look absolutely great.
The GTS 2 model kept its rectangular design, but this time it’s a higher-quality and more elegant finish. There’s no doubt the watches also take a bit of inspiration from the competition in the form of Apple Watch.
The new GTR 2 also retains its round design once again, but this time it leans more toward elegance rather than a sporty or rugged construction.
It’s expected to be the same bestseller as with the first-generation watches. Thanks to the great price-to-performance ratio, these are among the best smartwatches on the market.
Watches packed with features
In addition to the classic aesthetic differences, the watches also received improvements under the hood. Both models should be fully compatible with the Alexa voice assistant and also support Xiaomi’s own solution in the form of XiaoAI.
Various sports modes won’t be missing either, along with many health monitoring functions. The watches will offer built-in storage for music and images, which will be easy to copy over from your smartphone. Its size hasn’t been revealed yet, but we should learn that detail soon.
There will also be support for wireless headphones via Bluetooth, the SpO2 feature—measuring blood oxygen levels, which is usually found in more expensive devices—stress measurement combined with the new SomnusCare technology, breath quality measurement, and sleep quality measurement including a 24-hour mode.
In the Huami app of its own – Zepp, previously Amazfit, it will be possible to monitor all health features, including various settings.
