Buying on AliExpress for the first time?

This process is done through the AliExpress mobile app, where most people shop. Two things matter: don’t use Buy now and enter the coupon only in the order summary in the Promo code field. After you click Pay now, you can’t add it anymore.

Clear inspiration

This is also how you can simply describe the design of the Amazfit GTS. Huami didn’t mess around with it and hard-copied the design of the American Apple Watch 4. They come with the same square display design, with rounded edges 2,5D effect.

The dimensions of the aluminum case without the strap are 43.25 x 36.25 x 9.4 mm, and its weight is 24.8 grams. The strap is 20 mm wide and made of rubber. There will be a total of 6 strap color options.

The display as the biggest pride

A very fine AMOLED panel with a diagonal of 1.65″, a resolution of 348 x 442 pixels, and great pixel density of 341 ppi was built into the watch housing. That’s already on par with some of today’s smartphones.

It even has a finer resolution than Apple Watch 4, which offers 326 ppi. The display is protected by durable Corning Gorilla 3rd-generation glass.

The manufacturer is most proud of the display on the new Amazfit GTS. According to its claims, the square display can show more information than a round one. The watches come with a modular watch face, or rather a main screen.

The user can choose which information will be shown – heart rate, calendar, weather, steps, or events. There’s even a round watch face style to choose from. The manufacturer also offers 100 pre-made watch faces with different looks, so your choice is really wide.

A perfect 14-day battery life

Despite the very fine AMOLED display, the manufacturer managed to achieve top-tier battery-life optimization. The battery inside the watch has a 220 mAh capacity, and charging takes about 2 hours. The manufacturer lists the following battery-life figures:

• Everyday use: 14 days
  Heart rate monitoring, 150 received alerts per day, 30 times the display lights up by raising your wrist per day, cycling with GPS enabled three times per week for 30 minutes
• Standby mode: 46 days
  No Bluetooth connection, heart rate monitoring, or other functions; only 100-times per day the display lights up
• Continuously on GPS: 25 hours
  Battery life 25 hours with GPS constantly enabled

Water resistance, GPS, sports, and more

The new Amazfit GTS also include other smart features that we already know from this brand’s watches. The watches offer 5ATM water resistance, meaning they can handle immersion up to 50 meters. Along with this feature, the watches come with the SWOLF function – swimming monitoring.

Apart from swimming, they can measure a total of 12 sports activities , including running, cycling, hiking, skiing, and strength training. There’s also GPS with Glonass to track your location, route, and speed. Similarly to the Amazfit Watch 2 model, the GTS also uses the BioTracker PPG heart-rate sensor developed by Huami.

From the sensors, you also get a 6-axis accelerometer, a 3-axis geomagnetic sensor, a barometric pressure sensor, and an ambient light sensor. The watches connect to your smartphone via the newer Bluetooth 5.0.
