Xiaomi supplies the world with unique tech pieces. They regularly surprise us with new and unusual products from various industries. However, you won’t find an electric car in their portfolio.
Luckily for us, Xiaomi cooperates with new manufacturers with the goal of applying its technology to electric cars. And that’s how Baojun E300 and Baojun E300 Plus. were born
Baojun electric car
In the electric-vehicle segment, Xiaomi cooperates with the company Baojun. It brought new vehicles Baojun E300 and Baojun E300 Plus to the market. We’re talking about two new electric cars with an elegant design and a futuristic interior. The vehicles are smart and autonomous.
The Baojun E300 electric car features an electric motor with a power output of 29 kW and includes a battery with a capacity of 30 kWh. For the Plus model, the battery capacity is 31.9 kWh. Thanks to their batteries, both models have a range of up to 305 km.
Presence of Xiaomi technology
The vehicles stand out mainly for their interior, on which even Xiaomi collaborated. From the very first glance, the interior is minimalist, with a touch of futurism, and it’s packed with the most modern Xiaomi technologies.
Both Baojun E300 and Baojun E300 Plus models can connect to the AIoT ecosystem of Xiaomi. That means you can deeply link your Xiaomi smartphone with the vehicle, enjoy multimedia content at full level, and even control your smart home directly from the vehicle.
So you can use the vehicle to control home lighting, view things via sensors and locks, or check that everything is shut. You can also turn on the air purifier or the vacuum cleaner. Simply put: every product that is part of Xiaomi’s AIoT ecosystem can be controlled from your Baojun vehicle.
Vehicle price
You’re probably wondering how much this car will cost. The answer will definitely surprise you, because it’s an amount starting from 65 800 Chinese yuan, which is €8250 / 9300 USD (converted).
So it’s a very reasonable amount for a nice piece of electric car packed with technologies from the Chinese giant. The worse news is that the vehicles won’t be sold outside mainland China.
