March will also be a very important month for Xiaomi and its subsidiary brands. The unveiling of the new device has already been confirmed by Black Shark, and now Redmi is also coming with official information. It confirms the long-awaited Redmi K30 Pro.
The first official reports
On its official Weibo profile, the Redmi brand shared a promotional teaser that clearly reveals the design of the upcoming Redmi K30 Pro, and also hints at the launch date. You can notice the top part of the display, which does not include any “cutout” or “hole” for the front camera, as is the case with the Redmi K30.
This display element didn’t sit well with most fans, and it’s great to see that the manufacturer responded. For the Redmi K30 Pro, you can again expect a pop-up camera, just like it was on the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro.
In addition, the poster confirms that the smartphone will support 5G networks, and that the launch will be in March / březnu. So far, we haven’t learned any specific date—we only know the month. However, we expect the presentation to take place a few days after the Black Shark 3, which will see the light of day on 3.3.2020.
What’s more, the Redmi brand director, Lu Weibing, has officially confirmed the use of a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, which brings 5G support and top performance in the Android smartphone market.
What specs will it bring?
Exact hardware specifications haven’t been confirmed yet, and we expect Redmi to start gradually unveiling the parameters, just like they typically do in the Xiaomi group. See the confirmation of the flagship high-end processor.
We could also see new fast memory: LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage, just like in the Mi 10. Further, we expect a rear 64 MPx Sony IMX686 sensor, a 4700 mAh battery, wireless charging, or fast 33 W wired charging.
Of course, we’ll keep an eye on everything happening around the Redmi K30 Pro and will inform you among the first.
