Folding design and basic features
Xiaomi isn’t new to the electric bike segment. Under the HIMO brand, which is part of the Xiaomi ecosystem, several electric bike models have already been produced. These include series labeled with the letters Z, V, H, and C.
The newest addition to the Z series is the HIMO Z14. It comes with several improvements over the older versions.
The bike is equipped with a quality 350 W motor that lets it reach a maximum speed of 25 km/h.
The HIMO brand has once again chosen a practical foldable design, making it very easy to store. Its dimensions are 1318 x 1057 mm, and after folding they shrink to 817 x 740 mm. It weighs 25.3 kg and can handle a maximum load of 100 kg.
Battery, range, and other features
The HIMO Z14 comes with a large 48V 12 Ah smart battery, which provides up to 80 km of range on a single charge. With pure electric drive, that’s 60 km. The battery includes several protective mechanisms for increased safety.
There’s also a model with a larger 15 Ah battery, which offers a range of 90 km in moped mode and 75 km in pure electric mode, without pedaling.
The bike has a very elegant design that stands out thanks to the second seat above the rear wheel. The controls are typically located on the handlebars, where you’ll find, for example, a switch between different modes or light controls.
Himo also thought about riding safety, so you’ll find quality tires with a durable tread and disc brakes both in the front and rear. Front and rear lighting is also included.
You’ll also find one interesting feature: a pump under the seat. If you ever get a flat, you don’t need to search for the nearest gas station or carry an extra pump with you.
