Xiaomi is going to hit hard in just a few days, and this time it’s not only guesswork or speculation. The latest leak revealed the date of the global launch as well as the complete European prices for both models Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. If these details are confirmed, we’re in for a really interesting start to the year in the premium class.

Global launch on 28. February
According to the tipster Billbil-kun, Xiaomi should unveil the global versions of the new flagship series on 28 February 2026. That means the phones could go on sale almost immediately — more precisely, in early March.
Now let’s get to the price. The base Xiaomi 17 is said to start at 999 € for the memory version with 12 GB RAM + 256 GB internal storage. The higher configuration 12 GB + 512 GB should then cost 1,099 € including VAT.
What’s interesting is that the price tag should stay practically the same as it was for the predecessor. While many brands are raising prices, this is a fairly reasonable move. Of course, the big question remains: what exactly Xiaomi will offer for this price.
Specs that will wow you with Xiaomi 17
The expectation is the latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a top-tier AMOLED display with high brightness, and major improvements in photography — again moving closer to professional tools. If Xiaomi sticks to its traditionally strong price/performance ratio, it could be one of the most interesting Android phones around the one-thousand mark again.
The premium Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to start at 1,499 € for the 16 GB RAM + 512 GB internal storage version. If you want 1 TB, you’ll pay roughly 200 € extra. A noteworthy detail is the battery. While the Chinese version offers 6,800 mAh, the global model is said to come with “only” 6,000 mAh. It’s still an above-average capacity in the Ultra segment, but it’s clear that there will be differences between markets.
For the Ultra model, you naturally expect the strongest focus on the camera system, premium materials, a top-tier display, and maximum performance. So it will price itself directly against the most expensive Android flagship ships on the market.
