If you follow Xiaomi, you surely know their gaming smartphone lineup Black Shark. A new model is set to see the light of day, an upgraded version of Black Shark 2 Pro! In China, it will be unveiled already tomorrow, 30.7.2019 at 9:00 our time.
It is said to feature the most powerful chipset, Snapdragon 855+, manufactured using a 7 nm process. So it will be a top-tier performance smartphone.
A flagship processor and a large AMOLED
No official information has been released yet; we’ll learn it tomorrow. But what we do know from speculation, is the already mentioned Snapdragon 855+ processor, which was introduced only recently by Qualcomm.
On the front, a large 6.39″ AMOLED display should take the lead, with support for DC dimming 2.0, which is safer from a health perspective compared to the pulsing technology (PWM) used so far. Of course, there will also be a built-in in-display fingerprint sensor.
Available in 3 configurations
It should come in 3 configurations with storage 128, 256 and 512 GB, and in each case with 12 GB RAM. It will also likely support special Liquid Cooling 3.0, and power will come from a 4000 mAh battery with fast charging.
On the back, it should have the same as its predecessor: a dual camera, with a resolution of 48 + 12 MPx. On the front, it will be 20 MPx.
A solid improvement in AnTuTu
Thanks to AnTuTu, we also got the number of points in their benchmark. It also confirms the specifications from leaked sources. The Black Shark 2 Pro version improved by as much as 30 000 points with a total score of 405 598. So it’s a very respectable performance.
The main factor behind the improvement is, of course, the new Snapdragon 855+ processor, which should be even better at games. Let’s see what overall changes Black Shark 2 Pro will bring. Don’t forget: tomorrow morning, we’ll find out all the official information—definitely keep following us.
