The arrival of the premium successor, called Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme, is approaching relentlessly, and the official launch date has already been confirmed. With every day, more leaks surface, thanks to which we already know the possible specs even before the official reveal.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme is supposed to bring specs that will fill the gaps of the previous two models from the tenth-series flagship phones. Based on the available specifications, the smartphone really looks great.
Dual battery system
A more observant fan probably noticed the ongoing race for maximum charging power. The limits are moving really fast, and while not long ago 18 W charging was a privilege of flagship phones, the new model should debut with 120 W.
We have this information thanks to the TUV Rheinland certification, which reveals more detailed battery specifications. The battery will actually be split into two separate circuits with a capacity of 2250 mAh, meaning we can expect a final capacity of 4500 mAh.
The high charging power will enable extremely fast charging. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme will be able to charge from 0 to 100% in about 15 minutes. We have to admit, those are truly impressive figures.
We can also expect support for Qualcomm’s newest charging protocol called Quick Charge 5, which offers up to more than 100 W charging. With support for the Quick Charge protocol, fast charging will be compatible with a wider range of charging adapters.
8K video and the latest processor
Other specs should include support for recording 8K 10-bit videos in HDR 10, a flagship processor Snapdragon 865+, a 48 MPx main image sensor with support for 100x Infinity Zoom, and a 120 Hz AMOLED display.
The launch of the new smartphone will happen very soon, specifically on August 11. This information was confirmed directly by Xiaomi through an official announcement.
