The upcoming smartphone POCO F5 is back in the spotlight. It was spotted in the IMEI database last month. The global version has been approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
New certification in play
Specifically, it has model number 23049PCD8G, the same as the model certified in the IMEI database. The final letter G indicates a model intended for the global market. The Indian variant has the code name 23049PCD8I.
The Chinese variant of the smartphone has model number 23049RAD8C. The device has already been certified by Chinese certification platforms such as MIIT and 3C.
3 memory variants
The FCC certification therefore suggests that the POCO F5 model will be introduced in these two markets. This certification also revealed one more thing: the smartphone will arrive in three memory variants.
The first version will have 8 GB of RAM and 128-gigabyte storage, followed by a version with 8 GB of RAM and 256-gigabyte storage, and finally a version with 12 GB of RAM and 256-gigabyte storage.

We already know the smartphone will come with the latest Android 13 and MIUI 14 interface. You can look forward to dual SIM, 5G, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and an infrared sensor.
These are the specifications
It’s quite possible that on the Chinese market this smartphone will be called Redmi Note 12 Turbo or Note 12T. It will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The fingerprint sensor will be under the display.
Performance will be handled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor together with up to 12 GB of RAM. The 5,000 mAh battery will charge at a maximum power of 67 W.
At the back there will be a triple camera setup consisting of: a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a useless 2-megapixel macro lens.

We’re also curious when the company will officially unveil this smartphone and whether these specifications will be confirmed. It will also be important what prices the manufacturer sets.
