According to the manufacturer, the device’s battery life is more than impressive and is enough for, for example, 28 hours of continuous video playback, 46 hours of calling, or 29 hours of reading. In practice, everyday use can mean more than 2 days of battery life on a single charge.

Even with a remaining battery capacity of 1%, the phone can still run for over an hour in standby mode or provide up to 64 minutes of calls. The phone is also equipped with a BatteryExtender chip, which optimizes battery life and maintains battery performance even at extremely low temperatures — up to -20 °C. POCO claims that after 1600 charging cycles, the battery will retain at least 80% of its original capacity, meaning an exceptionally long lifespan for the built-in battery.

Charging itself isn’t too slow despite the large battery, because the phone supports 33 W turbo charging. With 18 W wired reverse charging, the POCO M7 4G also turns into a practical power bank — just connect another device and charge it directly from your phone.

A big display with 144 Hz for a smooth experience

The second major advantage is the display. POCO M7 4G features a 6.9-inch FHD+ DotDisplay with a sharpness of 374 ppi and a 144 Hz adaptive refresh rate. That means the screen can adjust refresh based on the app — lower when reading or viewing static content, and higher for games or fast animations, for example when scrolling in your browser or on your favorite social networks.

The screen offers brightness of 850 nits (HBM), ensuring good readability even in direct sunlight. There are also TÜV Rheinland eye-protection certifications: Low Blue Light, Flicker Free, and Circadian Friendly. For even more comfort, there’s also the Wet Touch 2.0 feature, so the display responds reliably even when your fingers are wet or dirty.

Stable performance in the hands of Snapdragon 685

Under the hood, you’ll find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 — a proven chipset made using a 6 nm process that can reach clock speeds of up to 2.8 GHz. While it’s not a processor from the upper mid-range, its performance fully covers everyday use, social media, multimedia, and even less demanding games.

The phone comes in variants 6 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB, and it supports RAM expansion via Memory Extension up to 16 GB. Storage can also be expanded via a microSD card, up to 2 TB.

You can look forward to the HyperOS 2 upgrade, which brings Xiaomi devices together into one ecosystem. With it, you can, for example, sync calls with your computer or tablet, share files between devices, or use the built-in Google Gemini assistant.

Cameras and multimedia

The photo setup is tailored to the segment where the phone sits, yet it still offers solid specs. The rear module consists of a 50 MP main camera and a secondary sensor for AI effects. The automatic night mode improves photos in less-than-ideal lighting conditions.

The front camera has an 8 MP sensor and features a soft-light ring for better quality “selfies”. POCO M7 4G also supports Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos, while the manufacturer added a 200% boost in speaker volume compared to its predecessor. You’ll especially appreciate this when watching movies or listening to music without headphones.

Design, durability, and practical details

The phone is designed to feel comfortable in your hand despite its size—thanks to the curved back panel along all four edges. Available colors include black, blue, and silver.

On the durability front, it comes with an IP64 certification, meaning it’s resistant to dust and splashing water. The manufacturer also subjected it to extensive durability testing, including hundreds of thousands of button presses and micro drops. In practice, this means the POCO M7 4G is ready for rougher handling.

Also included is NFC for contactless payments, a side fingerprint reader, and an infrared sensor that turns your phone into a universal remote control. As the phone’s name suggests, from the mobile data connectivity category it supports only 4G networks—support for the most modern 5G infrastructure is, unfortunately, missing, but the advantages are found elsewhere. For example, right in the price.

POCO M7 4G combines specs that are rare in this price range. Most notably, it features a 7000 mAh battery, a 144 Hz display, 33 W fast charging, reverse wired charging, a large screen, a solid chipset, and a modern design.
