Redmi K30 Pro is expected in March 2020 with the most powerful processor on the market and 5G support

The company Redmi, as a subsidiary brand of Chinese Xiaomi, unveiled its big news just yesterday, on December 10, 2019: Redmi K30. Even though the smartphone impressed us with an incredible price-to-performance ratio, we still lack a more powerful model labeled Pro, as it was the case with the previous generation.

The latest reports claim that the better-equipped model Redmi K30 Pro is in the works and should hit the market in the first quarter of next year.

Snapdragon 865 and 5G

The “Pro” model will most likely be called Redmi K30 Pro,  with the first device specs already revealed via the Twitter social network. Inside the device, there should be a new octa-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, while the manufacturer promises a 12% performance boost over its predecessor.

The chipset comes with a new X55 modem, which has also been updated for 5G connectivity. That’s good news given that the standard X55 modem doesn’t support 5G connectivity, but in this case, support for the fastest data networks won’t be missing.

Will come only after Mi 10

An approved leaker named “Sudhanshu Ambhore” regularly posts tech-world leaks on his Twitter profile. And most of the time, he isn’t wrong. In his recent post, he says that the Redmi K30 Pro will be unveiled in March 2020.

According to him, the delay of the Pro model is caused by the arrival of Xiaomi’s flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 10, which will be announced one month earlier, in February 2020. Xiaomi, of course, wants to direct all the attention exactly to the Mi 10 model.
