Tomorrow, 24.3., one of the most anticipated smartphones of this month, the Redmi K30 Pro, arrives. It will be announced for the Chinese market this Tuesday, but it won’t come alone—according to the latest post, it will also feature a new TV.
From smartphones to TVs
We all know Redmi for its great “budget” smartphones or mid-range phones. These devices were very affordable for everyone. Later, Redmi became independent and started expanding its portfolio with various other products.
These products include the Redmi AirDots, Redmibook laptops, and even a Redmi TV. Today, Redmi confirmed that a new Redmi Smart TV will be arriving tomorrow.
A new smart TV tomorrow
On its Weibo profile, the company shared an image featuring a TV with the date 24.03.2020. The last Redmi TV was announced together with the Redmi Note 8 in late August 2019 in China.
The technical specifications aren’t known, and the company hasn’t revealed anything either, so we can only wait. We assume the new model will come with an even larger display than the previous one, which had a 70″ diagonal.
Other technical specs will probably be very similar—only better or the same as what we saw with the older model. The older model featured 4K HDR panels with an Amalogic quad-core 64-bit processor paired with a Mali-450 MP3 GPU.
Redmi TV uses PatchWall UI as its user interface. Memory is sufficient – 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM. Mandatory equipment like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, 3x HDMI ports, and 2x USB is definitely included. Sound formats such as Dolby Audio and DTS-H are also available.
The price is still unknown
The price is still unknown, but one thing we know: the new Redmi Smart TV will definitely cost more than its predecessor. In China, Redmi TV is sold for 3 799 yuan, which is about 500 € /13 680 CZK. For more updates, keep following us!
