As we already expected, it has finally been confirmed that tomorrow, on October 27, we’ll get an official reveal of the smartphone Redmi K30S. It’s basically a renamed model of Xiaomi Mi 10T, which you’ll probably already know. Xiaomi has been taking these kinds of steps for quite a while.
Redmi K30S will hint at the arrival of a new Redmi K40 line
Redmi K30S is supposed to be a kind of successor to the Redmi K30 series, but it should discreetly hint at the upcoming Redmi K40 lineup as well. The company itself announced the arrival of the new model on the social network Weibo. Redmi K30S will be coming exclusively for the Asian market.
The post also reveals the phone’s design. Of course, this is something we already know in confidence from the new Xiaomi Mi 10T line. The Redmi sub-brand took not only the design, but also the device’s general specifications.
The standout feature is the camera module, with the main sensor being extremely large. Here you’ll find a sensor with a resolution of 64 MPx. We won’t be getting a 108 MPx camera this time.
It excels not only in performance, but also in its overall equipment
The absolute top performer will be the performance handled by the processor Snapdragon 865. The display is also absolutely great. It comes with a 6.67-inch diagonal. With its IPS LCD technology, it won’t be that impressive. AMOLED is, after all, better.
The 144 Hz refresh rate, however, is a totally different story. The smoothness of animations and transitions is simply amazing, and a more modern display type won’t be something you’ll miss over time.
To wrap up, we’ll mention that the Xiaomi Mi 10T will start being sold on the European continent for €499 ($590). For domestic buyers, the Redmi K30S will cost just 2500 yuan, which is €316.59 ($374).
So the Chinese giant is clearly aiming mainly at the Chinese market, but we can be very happy that global versions of its smartphones are definitely becoming a given. What’s more, compared with other leading brands, Xiaomi is still one of the most value-for-money options while keeping an excellent overall feature set.
