All these models are the same size – 163,7 x 76,4 x 7,8 mm and they also have the same weight, 196 grams. Redmi K40 features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, while the other two models boast the most powerful Snapdragon 888.
Quality 120 Hz displays
The new models offer a 6,67″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, an refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The battery has a capacity of 4520 mAh and there’s fast charging with a power of 33 W.
Naturally, it comes with the latest Android 11 operating system along with the MIUI 12 skin. Chinese prices start at the equivalent of 253 €, which is truly great for such specs.
Redmi K40 and an interesting camera setup
The Redmi K40 series will also impress with its cameras. While the base model has a main sensor with a resolution of 64 megapixels, the other two offer up to a 108-megapixel camera. Powerful processors and high-resolution cameras will definitely have a positive impact on photo quality.
The other sensors are identical. The ultra-wide-angle lens has a resolution of 8 Mpix and the third is a macro sensor with a resolution of 5 megapixels. Unfortunately, there’s no telephoto lens, but the high resolution of the main camera still provides quite good zoom possibilities.
Redmi K40 Pro+ offers 256 GB of storage and 12 GB RAM. K40 and K40 Pro offer 128 or 256 GB of storage with 6 or 8 GB of RAM. Even the base model is sold in a version with 12 GB RAM.
