The Redmi brand brings a continuation of last year’s generation in the form of a device labeled Redmi K40S with a Samsung E4 AMOLED display and last year’s Snapdragon 870 processor. The original Redmi K40 could also be found as a slightly modified POCO F3 model, which was sold on our market.
Redmi K40S: Samsung E4 AMOLED and Snapdragon 870

Má hmotnosť 195 gramov a prináša podobne ako pri pôvodnom smartfóne K40, 6,67″ Samsung E4 AMOLED panel s Full HD+ rozlíšením. Tento displej ponúka vysokú obnovovaciu frekvenciu až 120 Hz, vzorkovaciu frekvenciu až 360 Hz a tiež podporu HDR10+ a maximálny jas až na úrovni 1300 nitov.
In terms of performance, we have a proven octa-core processor at our disposal Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G, manufactured using a 7 nm production process. It’s also paired with the Adreno 650 graphics chip, 6 / 8 / 12 GB of RAM, and 128 / 256 GB of internal UFS 3.1 storage. The manufacturer also integrated Vapor Chamber cooling into this model, with an area of up to 3112 mm².
The rear camera module corresponds to the new smartphones in the K50 series. It has a circular shape and offers a main 48 MPx sensor that is also equipped with optical image stabilization. The main camera will be complemented by an ultra-wide-angle sensor and a macro sensor as well.
There’s also no shortage of extra features: an NFC chip for mobile payments, as well as a linear “X-axis” vibration motor, dual stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, and fast 5G connectivity for mobile data.
In the relatively thin device body (7.7 millimeters), there’s a battery with a total capacity of 4500 mAh. The Redmi K40S smartphone, however, brings improved fast wired charging up to 67 W via a USB Type-C connector.
Price and availability of the new smartphone
Novinka s označením Redmi K40S sa bude predávať zatiaľ výlučne len na čínskom trhu. A to vo farebných prevedeniach Black, Silver, Blue a Green. Predobjednávky začínajú dnešným dňom a štart predaja na tamojšom trhu je naplánovaný na 22. marec 2022. O globálnej dostupnosti pod značkou Redmi či POCO zatiaľ nemáme žiadne ďalšie informácie.
