In the second half of March this year, the long-awaited premium smartphone series from the Redmi K50 lineup saw the light of day. Both models unveiled at the time—the base K50 and the upgraded K50 Pro—offer a truly excellent price-to-performance ratio.
According to the latest information and leaks, the lineup will also be joined by the most advanced sibling, which will go head-to-head with the best smartphones on the global market. The launch of the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is fast approaching.
Just around the corner
Not long ago, a post appeared on Redmi’s official profile on the social network Weibo, teasing the upcoming launch of a new flagship smartphone. The exact conference date is not known yet, but leaksters expect the smartphone to be unveiled this month.
Redmi isn’t keeping us in the dark with its post. According to the company, we should look forward to a truly ultimate machine that will surpass any—yes, even the biggest—expectations. Social media, in this case, can handle a lot, so we’re curious whether these bold words will actually turn into reality.
Expected specs
Under the hood, based on the latest information, there will be a premium chipset from the U.S. company Qualcomm, called the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. For a better idea of the power this processor brings, we can mention the AnTuTu benchmark result. In it, the chipset scored 1 029 927 points.
A 120 Hz AMOLED front panel will take care of the display for the power-packed processor, along with a main camera with a resolution of up to 200 MPx and ultra-fast 120 W charging. Availability on the global market is not known yet, but if the phone does make it to our region, it will most likely be released under the name Xiaomi 12T Pro.
