Not all Mondays are bad, but this one will be at least less positive for Xiaomi fans. Shortly after the great news about the arrival of the global version of the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE model, we have sad news that Xiaomi fans definitely didn’t want to hear.
One of the most eagerly awaited smartphones from the brand won’t be available in a global version.
We can only wipe our tears with our eyes
One of the most eagerly awaited mid-range smartphones, the Redmi Note 7 Pro, won’t arrive in a global version. It was confirmed directly by Xiaomi representative John Chen, the director of the Southeast Asia market. On his Facebook profile he shared the following statement:
“Dear Mi Fans,”
I’m sorry, but I have to inform you that the Redmi Note 7 Pro WON'T have an official international version intended for countries other than China and India due to our product strategy.“
In the post, it also mentions that the recently unveiled Redmi Note 7 is an equally great smartphone and also offers a perfect price-to-performance ratio. This, of course, is true, but this model can’t replace the Pro model that many fans are waiting for, including from Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
So the statement is clear, and any further speculations about a global version of the Redmi Note 7 Pro are refuted. Even though Xiaomi never previously mentioned a global version of this smartphone, we’re disappointed. Just from the fans’ demand, we would have expected the company to launch the Note 7 Pro on the global market too.
Finally, we’ll just add how Xiaomi brand fans are feeling right now.
