Two days ago, the Redmi brand confirmed the arrival of a new Redmi Note 9 smartphone, which will be unveiled on 12. March / března in India. Now, information is coming about the Redmi Note 9 Pro, which will be more powerful than the K30.
A new smartphone model is confirmed by a performance measurement platform
On the well-known benchmark platform GeekBench, the performance of a device labeled as Redmi Note 9 Pro was tested. According to the data from this process, the new device will feature an eight-core Qualcomm processor with a base clock of 1.8 GHz and 6 GB of RAM.
During testing, the device scored 569 points in single-core performance and a total of 1 755 points in the multi-core test.
There wouldn’t be anything that interesting—until we compare its performance with the well-established Redmi K30 4G, which is among the most powerful mid-range smartphones. The tested K30 is equipped with a Snapdragon 730G processor, and the test was carried out on a version with 8 GB of RAM.

At the moment, it’s not clear which smartphone(s) will be unveiled on 12.3.2020. The Redmi Note 9 is expected, and based on today’s findings, it could also be an upgraded version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. The manufacturer is promoting the event as one of the biggest Redmi events of this year. That means other smartphones could also be unveiled, such as Redmi 9, as well as other devices.
However, due to the still-existing coronavirus, the event will take place exclusively via a live video stream, without the presence of journalists and the public.
Even during the event promotion, the Redmi company pointed out some advantages of the new smartphone. It should offer exceptional performance, design, and fast charging. It will also be characterized by a new arrangement of four camera sensors into a square-shaped module.
