A lot of people look for products that offer a great quality-to-price ratio. That’s why Xiaomi products are so popular. But in China, there are plenty of brands that follow the same strategy.
One of them is also Tronsmart, and they stand out especially in the audio industry. Their speakers are high-quality, yet still very affordable. This time, at the Xiaomi Planet editorial office, we tested what is probably their most popular model, the Tronsmart Element Force.
That’s what it looks like in reality.

Simple packaging
Right from the box, you can feel the quality. This isn’t some cheap Chinese speaker. The box has a clean purple design, and inside you’ll find the Element Force itself, a USB Type-C cable, a 3,5 mm audio jack cable, the manual, and a warranty card. So the first impression is really great.
Massive body
The device measures exactly 204 x 64 x 80 mm and weighs 780 grams, so it’s definitely a bigger piece of electronics. It’s also easy to carry, and the manufacturer managed to pack a lot of power into still reasonable dimensions.
The build is massive, since the speaker is meant for tougher conditions as well. The base is made of hard plastic, manufactured to a very high standard. The center of the speaker is rubberized, and there are rubber feet on the bottom so it doesn’t slide around on the surface.
There’s also a loop on the side for attaching a carabiner or, for example, for hanging it up. On the top you’ll find a control panel with a total of 6 buttons. You can control volume, switch the equalizer, manage the connection, power on/off, and play music.
There’s also an NFC tag for quick pairing with your smartphone. You can also access 3 sound effects. After pressing the EQ button, you can switch between 3D Stereo, the Extra Bass mode, and the standard mode.
Pairing and connection
Pairing was fast and hassle-free. After turning it on, we reset it using the M button just to be safe, and then paired it. Reconnection was also very quick.
If you need to connect a new device, you just need to hold the M button longer again. The Element Force restarts and is ready for new pairing.
If your smartphone has NFC, you can also pair the speaker this way. Just place your phone on the speaker—an on-screen prompt will appear to confirm pairing, and you’re done. Paired within 5 seconds.
The latest Bluetooth 5.0 standard is used, which offers better range than previous versions, saves more battery, and has lower latency.
Surprisingly great sound
Most portable Bluetooth speakers focus more on compact size, which usually means worse sound. But the Element Force has 2 x 20 W 53 mm speakers inside, and its power is definitely noticeable.
After unboxing, turning it on, and pairing it, we set it on the desk and played our first track. Right from the bass, the table started vibrating immediately, and the speaker even rattled—it showed its real strength.
Great sound is also helped by Tronsmart’s SoundPulse™ technology. It delivers better surround sound with more efficient use of the speaker’s power. To give you a taste of the sound quality, we’d like to share a very well-made sound test from YouTube:

Great battery life
Tronsmart Element Force doesn’t fall behind when it comes to playtime either. Its 2 battery with a capacity of 3300 mAh delivers up to 15 hours of music at medium volume.
That’s a very solid battery life, and during testing we only charged it minimally. After that, charging takes over 3 hours.
The water resistance will impress you
A feature that fits the device perfectly as a Bluetooth speaker is clearly its water resistance.
Force comes with an IPX7 certification, meaning it can be submerged in water up to 1 meters deep for 30 minutes.
We managed to forget it overnight outside on a bench—and guess what, it rained all night. In the morning, we found it in shock, but the speaker worked perfectly. So we were able to test its waterproof performance properly, even if unintentionally.
USB Type-C!
Yes—Element Force uses USB Type-C for charging! A fact that will delight more than one tech enthusiast. No more fuss with rotating it when connecting the microUSB port.
When it comes to connectivity, you also get a 3, 5 mm audio jack, as long as you’re a fan of cables, plus a microSD card slot. So you can play music directly from your storage.
Pairing multiple speakers
The ability to connect speakers is also an interesting feature of Tronsmart speakers. Currently, it’s possible with Element Force and Mega. So if you have two of the mentioned models at home, you can upgrade to stereo.
A great speaker for a great price
Tronsmart Element Force proved to us that even high power can fit inside a portable Bluetooth 5.0 speaker. We’re very happy with the sound—as well as with the controls and still very reasonable size.
If you often travel with friends or if you have a summer terrace at home with no audio setup, Force is the right gear for the job.
