Sometimes Xiaomi surprises you, and together with partner brands it brings an unusual type of product. One of the practical helpers is the Xiaomi Nextool XPH50 flashlight.
A new Xiaomi flashlight with a light range of up to 380 meters and a quality metal construction can come in handy even in your home. We ordered it for testing purposes and we’re bringing the only review in Slovakia and the Czech Republic for this product.

TIP13-day delivery via Aliexpress Standard Shipping
For this product, AliExpress Standard Shipping is available with guaranteed delivery in 13 days. This is the most reliable shipping method, and in most cases it’s handled by a courier company.
When ordering from the Chinese warehouse, AliExpress will add the customs duty in your cart—approximately 3,70 € per order. When you receive the package, you won’t pay anything extra.
Included accessories
This time, the manufacturer went for practical packaging, including optional accessories. When you unpack it, a black box of medium size welcomes you, featuring a product image and basic specifications (in our case, in Chinese).
After unboxing, the inside of the package is divided into several parts. The most important one, of course, is the flashlight section, which offers a solid metal build.
The packaging may feel a bit heavier in terms of weight—this sensation is created by the flashlight’s high-quality construction. There’s also a brief user guide with product illustrations and the Nextool partner brand logo.
There’s also a compartment for the battery, which powers the device. It’s replaceable, but it’s not a standard retail battery—instead, it’s a 5000 mAh cylindrical accumulator of type 26650. Once inserted, you can charge it using the included USB Type-C cable. On the accessories side, you also get a wrist strap for a firmer grip.
Solid metal build
The flashlight manufacturer, Nextool, really took care of the craftsmanship of the product itself. The dimensions of the flashlight come in at 164 x 59 x 34 mm. The flashlight head houses high-brightness LED diodes, and it’s possible to unscrew part of the handle.
In that area, you’ll find a well-hidden USB Type-C connector designed for charging the device. Weight is 265 grams (without the inserted battery).
The handle is made from a metal alloy—it's genuinely sturdy, so you don’t have to worry about damaging this construction quickly. According to the manufacturer, this construction can handle a drop from up to one meter.
On the handle, there’s a set of four LED diodes that display the battery capacity. You also get a fairly large rubberized button for turning it on/off and switching between five lighting modes. The bottom part of the flashlight can also be unscrewed; the included battery for power goes there.
Properly powerful LED
In terms of technical specs, we could easily say this is a flashlight “on steroids.” It’s not only the quality of the construction—it’s also the strong brightness of the built-in LED diode. It maxes out at 2000 lumens, and the manufacturer lists a beam range of up to 380 meters.
The light is relatively cool; the manufacturer lists a value of 6500K. The increased durability is underlined by an IPX7 certification. It means enhanced water resistance, which is a welcome plus.
The flashlight’s battery setup is rounded out by a set of five lighting modes. The strongest “super mode” delivers up to 2000 lumens (range up to 380 meters), the high brightness mode follows with 560 lumens (range 200 meters), the medium brightness mode has 200 lumens (110 meters), and the low brightness mode then offers 25 lumens (40 meters).
The fifth mode is the SOS mode. From the top of the flashlight, it provides an SOS signal and is especially suitable for signaling in an emergency situation.
The reality: It meets the promised standards
We tested the Nextool XPH50 both in night conditions and in twilight, but also during the day with the presence of sunlight. Of course, the best results in terms of brightness come from the flashlight’s battery in the strongest mode in complete darkness.

The illumination value at the level of 380 meters is truly real, and the battery offers surprisingly penetrating and powerful light. Use it therefore carefully in the presence of other people—when looking at the battery’s direct strong light, you’ll definitely feel some uncomfortable vibes.
In twilight, the battery definitely doesn’t need to be ashamed. However, if you’re not in complete darkness and you’re lighting at shorter distances (for example on a forest path), we recommend switching to a slightly weaker brightness mode.
The selected mode also affects battery life, but it’s really generous even in the strongest mode. The flashlight is clearly visible even in daylight. Using it in daylight isn’t standard, but for the purpose of testing we tried these conditions too. The result from the performance? High satisfaction.
The battery is replaceable, powerful, and with USB Type-C
The battery power is handled in a truly interesting way. In the package, every user will find a replaceable cylindrical battery, but it’s a rechargeable 5000 mAh accumulator. The battery is 26650 standard and can power the flashlight for at least 140 hours in the weakest mode.
The cylindrical battery is inserted inside the metal handle from the bottom after unscrewing the cap. The +/- symbols important for inserting the battery correctly are located on the outside of the handle, marked in white.
Battery life is really very good—surprisingly so compared to standard models of handheld batteries. However, you can charge it with a standard USB Type-C cable. The mentioned connector is hidden in the screw thread under the head of the battery.
A short cable with a USB connector is also included in the package, but you can use any other one as well—for example, the one from your smartphone. Charging the accumulator is standard 5V/2A and will take 3-5 hours. Given the overall runtime, you definitely won’t need to charge the battery very often.
Great buy for the price
Do you think it’s excessive to buy a handheld battery for almost 30 euros? For this model, Nextool XPH50, you just need to look at it from a different perspective. For that price, you get quality metal workmanship, truly above-standard and strong lighting of 2000 lumens with a range up to 380 meters, and also a powerful accumulator with up to 140 hours of pure lighting.
Good news also includes the presence of a practical USB Type-C connector, and on the practical side, even using noticeably cool light at a level of 6500K doesn’t pose any problem.

The flashlight is suitable both for amateur use when walking through the forest and for more professional activities that require an above-standard level of brightness and light range in poor lighting conditions, or even in complete darkness.
The price offered by the well-known Chinese seller is, in our opinion, very well justified. Traditionally, as with other partner brands Xiaomi, a very good price/performance ratio is maintained. So we definitely recommend buying this model Nextool XPH50.
