Runtime up to 3 hours and more efficient mopping
Thanks to efficient consumption—even with the help of artificial intelligence—the vacuum can work on a single charge for up to 3 hours or over an area of 200 m2. The battery capacity is 5200 mAh.
Improvements also apply to wet mopping. The tank has a capacity of up to 290 ml and includes a special pump, which helps generate higher pressure during cleaning—so mopping is much more precise. The dust container, on the other hand, has a capacity of 460 ml.
Smart functions, 14 sensors
In the app, you can easily set where it can and can’t clean. For example, with zone settings during wet mopping, it won’t cross over the carpet.
It also supports room recognition, so you can tell it to clean just, for example, the living room. A big advantage is that you can save up to 3 maps, which is ideal for multi-storey homes.
It scans the surroundings on its own, and there’s no risk of falling down the stairs. Everything is taken care of by as many as 14 sensors. Thanks to the new quad-core processor and artificial intelligence, it can calculate a much more efficient mopping route—saving battery and time.
App control
You can control it completely through the Roborock app (later, after an update, also via Mi Home).
You can also adjust its suction power and water volume. You can also set “virtual walls” and define where it should move.
It also supports voice assistants, so control can be even more convenient. It will also understand, for example, Amazon Alexa.
Other features
The suction power of the Roborock S5 Max is set at 2000 Pa, and it also improves dust absorption. So all dust stays inside.
It can climb over an obstacle of 2 cm, and carpet cleaning is also improved.
If it has less than 20 % battery left, it will return to the charging dock on its own. It will then charge only to the level needed to complete the task already in progress.
