Electric scooters from this manufacturer stand out for their great efficiency. Compared to the competition, with the same-size battery they can travel much farther on a single charge. No matter whether it’s classic commuting in the city or tougher off-road terrain. The new models for 2022 should be faster, smarter, and safer, according to the manufacturer.

Segway GT2

Segway GT2 offers even higher performance and a longer range. It’s a dual-motor scooter with a maximum power of up to 6000 W. That means it accelerates from 0 to 48 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Its top speed is also impressive at 70 km/h. The battery has a capacity of 1512 Wh, which should be enough for a 60 km ride.

The scooter is built on 11″ tubeless tires with a gel layer against punctures, and it has robust front and rear suspension. The big advantage is that the front shock is hydraulic and the user can even adjust its stiffness depending on the road surface conditions.

The manufacturer even developed its own STDC traction control technology, which ensures better grip and traction even off-road.

Segway GT2 also features a transparent OLED display that shows your current speed, and at the same time it doesn’t obstruct your view ahead. A really interesting safety solution.

Segway GT2 and GT1 will go on sale on July 4, 2022. The price of the cheaper GT1 model is set at 2999 US dollars (approx. 2744 EUR). The more expensive Segway GT2 will cost 3999 US dollars (approx. 3659 EUR).

Segway GT1

These two models are supposed to be the best ones that the manufacturer has prepared for us this year. The less powerful and cheaper GT1 can reach a maximum speed of 60 km/h. Acceleration is also excellent—only 7,5 seconds are needed for this scooter to go from 0 to 48 km/h.

At maximum load, the motor delivers 3000 W of power, with the rear wheel being driven. Thanks to the 1008 Wh battery, it can cover 50 kilometers on a single charge. In the middle, between the handlebars, there’s an information display where you can see your current speed, riding mode, and other important parameters.

Segway P65 and P100S

These are the direct successors of the popular Segway Ninebot Max G30 e-scooter. The P series is supposed to be the new standard for “daily commuting”. The scooters have a very similar design, but they differ in some key parameters.

Both models let you unlock and lock using NFC technology. Just hold your smartphone up and you’re unlocked. This way, you won’t have to carry keys with you. You’ll also appreciate the USB-C charging port, which lets you easily charge your wearable electronics.

Both scooters come with 10.5-inch pneumatic tires and include a single motor that drives the rear wheel. However, they differ in power and range. While the Segway P65 offers a rated output of 500 W, it can temporarily deliver up to 1080 W, the P100S motor is 650 W, and it can temporarily generate a maximum 1350 W output.

Great range and improved water resistance

The maximum speed is 35, i.e. 43 km/h. While the cheaper model offers a very solid range of 65 km, for the P100S the manufacturer states up to 100 km. The mentioned ranges are guaranteed at a speed of 25 km/h and for a rider weight of 75 kg. Both scooters have an OLED display on the handlebars that keeps you informed about your current speed and other important riding parameters.

Both models offer enhanced water resistance (IPX5 certification), so a bit of puddle or rain shouldn’t be a problem. The Segway P60 has a disc brake in the front and an electronic one in the rear, while the P100S adds a disc brake at the back as well. The maximum climbing angle is 22, i.e. 23 degrees.

The official sale start for the scooters is scheduled for August 1, 2022. The price of the Segway P60 is set at $1499.99 (approximately €1373), while the Segway P100S will cost $1999.99 (approximately €1830).
